The light can be easily recharged and is also compatible with Streamlight's SL-B26 rechargeable batteries, making it ideal for extended use. The multi-function, push-button switch and easy one-handed operation allow for momentary or variable intensity, while the TEN-TAP programmable switch lets the user choose between three different programs: high/medium/low (factory default), high only, or low/medium/high. With its three user-selectable programs and a useful light diffuser for close-up work, the Streamlight ProTac is versatile and reliable. Additionally, the included red and green colored lens filters make this light suitable for a wide range of needs. The package comes with a USB cord, elastic head strap, and rubber hard hat strap.

On medium, the output is 400 lumens with a runtime of 2 hours and 45 minutes, a distance of 147 meters, and an intensity of 5,400 candelas. The low setting offers 65 lumens with a runtime of 20 hours, a distance of 60 meters, and an intensity of 900 candelas. The headlamp is equipped with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, and the 90-degree tilting head reduces neck fatigue. It is also USB rechargeable, with the USB port protected by a rubber boot.
